Welcome my eventual readers and even those of you who are checking this for the first time. My name is James O. Kotoye, but I'm also known as King James, or J for short. You are now in tune to the sounds [or words] of the Brainiac Society. Of all things I could name my introduction into the blog game, I've chosen the Brainiac Society for a myriad of reasons.
My first reason is because I believe I know everything, and nothing at the same time. There are way too many sources in today's media that will pretend to tell you absolute fact at all times. I am sorry, I can not promise that. The name Brainiac Society represents and slightly parodies this ideal. Of course, I can not claim to be an expert on every single topic I challenge here. What I aim to do is to make you look at everything presented from 2 dimensional reasoning with a 3-d mentality. I aim to search for that outer plane of thinking that allows for stimulation of your brain.
My second reason for naming my blog the Brainiac Society is because the second name is what I intend for this venture to become, a place and collection of minds that can discuss any topic that comes into the lexicon of the group, or society. I want involvement, because the world is in need of those who want to positively effect things around them. So the reader and the writer are equally invested.
Finally, my last reason is because of what the name assumes. Brainiac assumes intellect. My writing will not lack anything in that area, and that's the promise I make to you. I promise that I will try to do my best to inform, educate, and entertain you, the reader.
My subject matter is your subject matter. I will write to guide, but not control the range of information and entertainment that will be discussed. With that said, a lot of my interests will be reflected in this blog. And I'll give you three topics that I can guarantee that I will discuss my loves; sports, hip hop and politics.
With that said, welcome to the Brainiac Society. Membership is not exclusive, and every brain is welcome to input.
Peace.
